Silver Jewelry i have bought have turned black. Why is it happening?
Tarnishing is not a manufacturing fault. All sterling silver (92.5 pure silver) will tarnish over time due to a process called oxidisation. Please refer to Jewelry care page for methods to prevent tarnish. One main way to prevent tarnish is to store your silver jewelry so that it is not exposed to air. Always wipe the jewelry with soft cloth after use and store in plastic covers and then in air tight boxes. DO NOT store your jewelry in anything other than plastic pouches/zip lock plastic bags.

Will gold plating last life long? What to do if gold plating has lost its sheen?
Lifespan of gold plated jewelry depends on how the jewellery is stored and the frequency of usage.
Gold plating on silver will wear-off over time depending on factors like frequency of usage; exposure to moisture, humidity, chemicals; ph levels of skin of the wearer etc. It’s a natural process for silver to oxidise. It’s not pure gold.
Gold plating on silver stays up to 2 years or more when worn sparingly and stored in airtight boxes when not in use. Follow the wearing, cleaning and storage tips mentioned in jewelry care page to make the plating last longer. Free gold re- polishing or plating is given for 6 months from the date of purchase of products. You can get re gold plating at any silver jewellery store near by
Is there any guarantee for the products?
Pure Silver jewellery is stamped with the 92.5 mark, guaranteeing that it is sterling silver. These are tiny microscopic stamps that can be found on some part of the silver. If the item of jewelry does not have any area on which to stamp a marking, the piece may be unstamped even though it may be of valuable silver.
If purity of silver is less for products like vintage silver jewellery it will be specified in product description and wont have stamping.
Special note for nose Jewelry: All our nose pins are handcrafted in 92.5 % silver with real semiprecious gemstones. Owing to its small size and intricate craftsmanship, 925 Hallmarking is not always possible on nose pins like other jewelry as the process involves the application of a strong force to engrave on the metal. But we never compromise in the quality of product.
